What is the Buddy Program?

The Buddy Program pairs newly arrived international students with French students enrolled at the University Clermont Auvergne.

This initiative aims to ease the integration of newcomers during their first year in France and to foster an enriching cultural exchange for both participants. The mentor supports the international student in their integration into the University Clermont Auvergne and the city of Clermont-Ferrand.

The mentor is your "guide." They are a student who will accompany you based on their availability and your needs in a voluntary capacity. The mentor is there to assist you with formalities, help you explore the campus, the city, and more.

The program has two main objectives:

  1. To assist you with daily practical matters (housing, banks, registration, etc.
  2. To help you get to know the university and integrate into student life in Clermont-Ferrand.
Every international student who wishes to participate is paired with a French mentor upon their arrival in Clermont-Ferrand.
